Refrigerator not cooling due to a failed evaporator fan
Why it happens here
Raintree refrigerators are mostly 12 to 20 years old, and evaporator fan motors wear out. When the fan seizes, the freezer stays cold but the fridge compartment warms up. It is the single most common cooling complaint we see in this ZIP.
Our approach
We test the fan with a multimeter, check for frost on the evaporator coil, and replace the motor. We also inspect the door gasket and condenser coil while the unit is pulled out, because those often contribute to the same symptom.
