Refrigerator not cooling during summer heat waves
Why it happens here
Brentwood Village regularly sees summer temperatures above 100 degrees, and garage or utility-room fridges are not built for that. Compressors run longer, condenser coils clog with dust, and the system slowly loses efficiency until it stops cooling. It is the single most common refrigeration call we get from June through September.
Our approach
We clean the condenser coil on every refrigeration call, test compressor amp draw with a clamp meter against spec, and check the refrigerant charge with gauges. If the unit is undersized for a hot garage, we tell you and suggest a better location or a different unit rather than repeat the same repair next summer.
